Mr C Jordan
Hello,
I'm Mr Jordan and I am a new member of the Sandhill team! I started my Sandhill journey in September as the Year 5 class teacher and Deputy Headteacher. I have been teaching for seven years and am really looking forward to continuing my teaching journey at Sandhill.
Some things about me that you might like to know...
I am a very proud dad to a little girl called Florence, who is 18 months old and definitely keeps me busy! We enjoy spending time as a family visiting lots of cool places like Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the sea side. We also enjoy trips to our local park, where Florence loves sliding down the slide and swinging on the swings!
I love music and have played guitar for 20 years – I used to play in a lot of rock bands during my early twenties. I am also a huge rugby fan and support Leeds Rhinos. I played both rugby league and union since I was a young boy but have recently retired and taken up running instead. When I was at school, I developed a real passion for science and loved experiments during science lessons. Now that I am a teacher, I love to teach all subjects, particularly music and history.
Mrs J Brasher
Hello,
I'm Mrs Brasher, I have worked at Sandhill for nearly 15 years now, and can honestly say that I've enjoyed (nearly) every minute. I'm married to Darren and he has had the pleasure to call me his wife for 30 years now, poor man!
I'm a proud mum of 3 children: John, Mason and Nell. John is married with 2 girls, my grandchildren, Mason works with his dad tiling, but is just going through joining the British Army. Nell has just gone into 6th form and doing really well, she gets her brains from me obviously.
We, as a family, love our caravan and go out in it most weekends. We love to take it abroad in the summer as well. I also love walking going to the gym, reading and cooking.
Mr S Hood
I'm Mr Hood and I have been a member of the Sandhill staff for nearly 8 years. I have taught PE throughout Sandhill for this time as well as supporting children throughout school too. I come from quite a big family and have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. When growing up I played football and then moved to coaching a Sunday league team which I stopped a couple of years ago. I now spend my weekends playing golf and trying various places to play.
I am a huge football fan and support Manchester United and enjoy going to Old Trafford to watch them play. I follow a range of other sports too such as: golf, cricket, and boxing. As much as I love sports, I also like to spend time reading, my favourite author when I was younger was Roald Dahl and now, I like to read autobiographies about athletes in sport. My favourite so far ‘Pep Guardiola- The Evolution.’
Miss E Fleming
I'm Miss Fleming and I am a new member of Sandhill. I have two girls called Aria Rose and Vienna, who are pupils at Sandhill.
My girls have a passion for dance and we spend a lot of time going to dance festivals and practices. I also have a passion for the Arts as I love Music and Drama and have played various instruments through the years. I also enjoy reading and my favourite subjects at school were English and Music.
